Grahamstown Festival

Earlier this year - all the way back in July to be exact - a group of friends and I went with two teachers to the Grahamstown Schools Festival. We saw about 13 shows in 5 days, and had a ton of fun. Here are some of the photos i took while we were there.
Robyn outside the Festival Fair on the first day we were there. There were many lovely stores, but we found that they were eaither to expensive, and that many of them had similar items for sale. Seeing as it was our first day, we were wary to buy anything in case we needed the money later on.

This is Cari, standing in an old circle just near the Grahamstown Monument - we all had photos taken while standing in the middle of the circle. I can't remember what the point of the circle was unfortunately, but I think it was something interesting  to do with the stars.

This is the Residence in which we stayed. We all had single rooms - yay for independence!

These two pictures above were taken at the Toposcope just outside of Grahamstown. There are signs that show where the original settlers settled, and what their family names and ship names were, and where about in England they had come from. All the towns in the Eastern Cape are 50 kilometers (possibly miles?) away from each other - also known as how far you can travel in a day on horseback.

This is the milkshake I had at a cute coffee shop, and Hilary at the same coffee shop.

There was even a second hand book store in this little town (I have completely blanked on its name - but it was absolutely tiny, and very cute).

We ended our visit with a trip to the beach at Prince Alfred - it was a lovely warm day and the perfect end to an interesting week.
